Join Margaret Brodie this NAIDOC week on Sunday 11 July for a FREE tour of the port. Starting at the South Australian Maritime Museum, Margaret will explore Port Adelaide from the perspective of the Aboriginal people who have called the port home for thousands of years. You will do a loop of the port, walking from the Maritime Museum to Lartelare Park in Glanville, a park named in her honour, before returning back to the Museum. The tour will incorporate not only the Lartelare story but also the Tjilbruke ancestral story and other landmarks.

Margaret is a Kaurna, Ngarrindjeri and Mirning woman. Across four generations, women in Margaret’s family passed on Lartelare’s knowledge of the Port, creating their own history and continuing their connection to the Port Adelaide area.
