Join the Adelaide Male Voice Choir at the SA Maritime Museum as as they take you back to a time where sea shanties were top of the charts – on board ships any way!
The 40 strong voice choir perform songs from the days of sail on the deck of the Museum’s replica ketch Active II as historic film of life on the last windjammers is projected on its sails. Crew sang songs to pass the time during long nights on the briny and to keep a rhythm and momentum while winding the capstan or hoisting acres of sails. The setlist includes well-known shanties as well as some set to more modern arrangements.
Snap up your tickets quickly as this was a sell out out at last year’s History Festival!
