In this creative workshop, kids and parents can design and colour their very own Port River Dolphin, then watch it come to life in a magical animation. Their artwork comes to life on screen, joining a pod of colourful dolphins from around the State. Blending art, imagination, and technology, this workshop is perfect for curious kids who love to draw, dream, and explore. Set your course for creativity and let your Port River Dolphin adventure begin!

School Holidays: Drawn Aboard!

Hop on board for Drawn Aboard! A one-of-a-kind workshop where kids bring history to life, one frame at a time.

Each child will draw their own historic sailing ship, and their art will become part of a collaborative animated film to be projected onto the sails of our replica ketch, Active II!

Perfect for curious minds and creative hands, Drawn Aboard blends art, history, and technology in a fun and memorable experience. Set your course for creativity and come aboard!

The South Australian Maritime Museum has partnered with our fellow transport friends in Port Adelaide, the National Railway Museum, South Australian Aviation Museum and Clipper Ship City of Adelaide, to form the Museums in the Port program.

Museums in the Port offers you a special deal to make your Port Adelaide experience even better and see every boat, train and plane we have to offer.

When attending one of the museums, you will receive a Museums in the Port brochure outlining all the wonderful things to see, which will give you 25% off your admission at the remaining three locations.

Don’t worry – you don’t have to visit all the museums on the same day. This offer is valid for two months from your first visit, giving you plenty of time to explore!
