Sail for Van Diemen’s Land
13 November 1801 - 13 January 1802
The ships are separated again as they sail down Australia’s west coast en-route to Van Diemen’s Land. They bury eleven souls at sea and are disappointed by the seemingly barren coasts of western and southern Australia. The abundant sea birds and marine life continue to captivate the naturalists.
