Géographe arrives at Kupang, Timor
22 August 1801 - 13 November 1801
After a separation of three months the ships are reunited in Timor. Many seafarers succumb to scurvy at sea, then fever and dysentery over 11 weeks in port. The expedition is plagued by conflict. Baudin sends one expeditioner home after he challenges an officer to a duel, and another after he brandishes a sword at his commander.
