Banks Strait
17 March 1802 - 27 March 1802
Rough weather sets in and Géographe is unable to put in close to shore to collect a long boat. Géographe and Naturaliste are separated in the storm. Baudin heads north to the mainland, exploring what is later named Terre Napoleon. Hamelin, Captain of Naturaliste, retrieves the long boat and sails north to Port Jackson.
