Part Time role, working 30 hours per week
The Education Manager will contribute to the planning, management and successful delivery of SA Maritime Museum (SAMM) programs for teachers and learners, model best-practice teaching and learning and ensure programs meet the objectives of the Teaching for Effective Learning Framework and the Australian Curriculum.
The Education Manager will develop, manage and promote programs within agreed goals, budgets and timelines, evaluate their effectiveness and ensure continuous improvement.
Key Selection Criteria:
- Deliver education programs, including digital programs, to visiting school groups,
- Apply education and curriculum expertise to develop programs that are responsive to teacher and learner needs to ensure that they achieve their learning outcomes and have an engaging and positive experience.
- Apply project management experience to oversee and promote programs within agreed goals, budgets and timelines.
- Model best-proactive teaching and learning and ensure programs are planned and presented within the Teaching for Effective Learning Framework and Australian Curriculum.
Desirable – qualifications in education
Located at the SA Maritime Museum but may be reassigned to other areas of the History Trust of SA to perform work of a similar nature appropriate to the classification. Engagement in this role is subject to a satisfactory Department for Communities and Social Inclusion Criminal History Check. Out of hours work may be required. Intrastate and interstate travel may be required. Engagement in this role may be subject to a satisfactory Department for Communities and Social Inclusion background screening check.
