Sail haunted ships into strange seas. Look out for mermaids singing ... beware of monsters rising from the deep. Help the crew navigate their way through salty superstitions. Dress up and come on a voyage into the fantastical with the Museum’s new holiday show.

Torrens Island Quarantine Station Tours

Monthly on Sundays between March - June 2015 (dates below)

Our tour will lead you through the landing and decontamination area, bathrooms, isolation hospital and morgue. The Quarantine Station is remarkably intact and evokes the experiences of passengers who almost reached Adelaide.

Inner Harbour History Cruise

Sunday 17th May and Sunday 24th May Cruises will depart hourly from 10am to 3pm

Cruise the Port Adelaide Inner Harbor on-board the historic vessel Archie Badenoch and discover the history of the people, industry and structures that surround South Australia's oldest working port.

The cruise includes Hart’s Mill, Birkenhead Bridge, Fletchers Slip, Dock 1, now home to the City of Adelaide and Dock 2.

All the World’s at Sea: A World War I Centenary

Gallipoli is a household name; the tragedy and exploits of the Australian Army are legendary. Less well known is the role of the Australian Navy. Engineering units built piers at Gallipoli, sailors launched commando raids in Belgium, and running battles were fought with German cruisers in the Indian Ocean. the naval war effort was diverse.

Festival of Vintage Boats, Trains & Planes

The SA Maritime Museum, National Railway Museum and SA Aviation Museum are presenting the inaugural Festival of Vintage Boats, Trains & Planes on the Labour Day weekend, Sunday 5 and Monday 6 October.

The Festival will celebrate heritage transport in the heart of Port Adelaide, South Australia’s first heritage precinct.
