Step back in time and relive the romance, intrigue and beauty of historic Port Adelaide, during this October’s “The Festival of Vintage: Boats, Trains and Planes".
The world’s largest operative wooden tall ship, Tenacious, will grace our port for the very first time. It will dock in Port Adelaide from Friday 14th October and will be open for tours Saturday and Sunday during festival hours. Tenacious was designed and built specifically to be fully accessible for persons of all abilities and was first launched on 1st September 2000, from Southampton, England.
The Maritime Museum offers:
• $5 Museum entry for all visitors
• See The Art of Science Baudin’s Voyagers 1800-1804 exhibition
• Cruise the Port River by steam onboard ST Yelta
• Wooden boats Whaler and Whiz Bang will be on display
• Visit the Torrens Island Quarantine Station
ST YELTA CRUISES
ST Yelta is South Australia’s last working steam tug, built for the Adelaide Steamship Company in 1949. Experience the age of steam with a two hour sail along the Port River.
Saturday 15 and Sunday 16 October
Check in at the Lighthouse with Museum Staff by 12:30pm.

$25 per person (no Concessions available).

TORRENS ISLAND QUARANTINE STATION TOURS
Built in 1879 to stop disease coming into the country, the Quarantine Station on Torrens Island can tell you a tale or two about the final leg of a migrant's journey to South Australia. Our guided tour will lead you through the landing and decontamination area, the isolation hospital and morgue. This site is only accessible by the Maritime Museum’s bus tour.

There are three tour times available:
10am, 11:15am and 12:45pm
Tours are $25 per person (no Concessions available). Enclosed shoes are required.
